Giant Kmart Security Guard Absolutely Flattens Shoplifter In Wild Melbourne Brawl

SHARE

Just when you think a trip to Kmart is safe, an absolute mountain of a security guard has been caught on camera laying the smackdown on an alleged thief. The wild footage out of Melbourne is going massively viral and it is easy to see why.

The chaos went down at the Pacific Werribee store last Thursday. A TikTok filmed by a horrified shopper named Ra Agarwal shows the exact moment things escalated over a simple drink bottle. Apparently, the bloke tried to casually walk out without paying. When the guard stopped him, the guy threw the bottle on the ground and tried to storm off.

The security guard demanded he pick it up, and that is when the fists started flying. The video shows the towering guard charging right at the alleged thief. The guy tries to scramble away by jumping on top of the store displays but it is absolutely no use. They trade a few wild jabs before the massive guard tosses the bloke straight to the floor.

The alleged thief was eventually dragged out of the shopping centre by backup security. Agarwal, who was shopping with her kids at the time, said it was a terrifying scene to be caught in the middle of but noted she was just grateful no machetes were involved.

That might sound like a bizarre comment, but this exact shopping centre has been an absolute warzone lately. Just a few weeks ago, the entire place went into lockdown when a massive brawl broke out involving 50 teenagers. Terrified retail workers had to hide behind their kiosks while crowds cheered and yelled to keep stomping on a girl on the ground. Police had to deploy capsicum spray just to break up the violent mob.

It gets even worse. Last August, two rival groups armed with actual machetes clashed inside the JD Sports at the very same mall, leaving two teenagers injured. Retail crime in Victoria is completely out of control right now, with nearly 100,000 offences recorded in a single year. That equals a retail crime happening every five minutes. It is no wonder internet commenters are praising this Kmart guard for finally taking a stand and fighting back.
